Weisgal, Meyer Wolf

Weisgal, Meyer Wolf
(1894-1977)
   Israeli Zionist. He was born in Kikol, Poland, and moved to the US in 1905. He served as national secretary of the Zionist Organization of America, and as Chaim Weizmann's political representative in the US. Later he became secretary-general of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. He subsequently settled in Israel and became president and chancellor of the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovot.
